This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to quash the F.I.R. in Crime No.180 of 2019 on the file of the first respondent police.

It is a case of job racketing in which there are atleast 80 victims; the petitioners are the accused 1 and 2 and they are husband and wife; on the allegations that the petitioners along with their friend / third accused had received huge sum of Rs.3,00,00,000/- on an assurance to get job and thereafter swindled the money, the case has been registered. 3.

The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that even though such allegations were made, there are no materials available as against the petitioners and hence, the case against the petitioners should be quashed.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the first respondent submitted that the investigation in this case has been almost completed and Charge Sheet will be filed within a period of two weeks. 2/4

On perusal of the records, it is seen that a detailed complaint running to several pages has been given by the second respondent by alleging that the victims were made to believe that the accused would secure them job and got money from them. The modus operandi of the accused has been given in detail. Serious allegations have been made in the complaint and that can not be ignored at the threshold itself. Apart from the complainant, there are other victims and from whom huge sums have been received on the assurance that the petitioners would secure jobs for them. Since there are sufficient materials present to make out a prima facie case, a detailed investigation should be done.

With the above observations, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
