ORDER
This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the Respondents to
pass orders on the representation dated 12.08.2025 seeking promotion with effect from 28.05.2002 with all benefits to the post of work inspector GradeII within a time to be stipulated by this Honble Court.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that he was initially appointed as a casual labourer/NMR in the Water Resources Department on 01.02.1984 and continuously discharged his duties with diligence and to the satisfaction of his superiors. In recognition of his service, he was promoted as Work Inspector Grade-II on daily wage basis w.e.f. 28.05.2002. Subsequently, on 12.02.2019, the petitioner was promoted as Work Inspector, without considering his past service. Hence, the petitioner made a representation on 12.08.2025 seeking regularization as Work Inspection Grade -II and the same is not considered. Hence, the present writ petition.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may direct the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioners representation within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.
4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the representation will be considered and orders will be passed within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.
5. Heard the learned counsel for both side and perused the materials available on record.
6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the limited request sought for by the petitioner, this court directs the first respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 12.05.2025 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
