O R D E R

The petitioner, alleging non-compliance of the order passed by this Court dated 21.07.2022 in W.P.No.17858 of 2022, has filed the present contempt petition.

2. Mr.R.Neelakandan, learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the second respondent submitted that in compliance of the order passed by this Court, the Government has passed G.O.(Ms.)No.584, Law (LS) Department dated 27.09.2023, in and by which it is ordered that the M.L. Degree in 'Criminal Law and Criminal Justice Administration' offered by the Tamil Nadu Dr.Ambedkar Law University is not equivalent to the M.L. Degree in 'Crime and Torts' for the purpose of employment in public services. A copy of the said Government Order is produced before this Court, which is taken on file and recorded.

3. In view of the above, the Contempt Petition stands closed. If the petitioner is being aggrieved, it is open to him to challenge the aforesaid Government Order in the manner known to law.
