[by M.JAICHANDREN, J. & K.B.K.VASUKI, J.] There is no representation on behalf of the petitioner. This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed by the brother of the detenu seeking to direct the respondent-Police to produce the detenu S.Balaji, aged 27 years, before this Court and set him at liberty.

2. According to the petitioner, the detenu was found missing from 6.8.2014. In this connection, he had lodged a complaint before the respondent-Police, on 8.8.2014, and it had been registered as Crime No.152 of 2014, on the file of the respondent-Police, as a man missing case.

3. A status report, dated 31.10.2014, had been filed by the respondent-Police stating that numerous steps had been taken to trace the detenu.

4. We are convinced that the respondent-Police is taking necessary steps to trace the detenu. Under such circumstances, we direct the respondent-Police to go ahead with the investigation and take appropriate steps to trace the detenu, as expeditiously as possible.

5. With the above direction, the Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
