The petitioner has come up with this Writ Petition seeking a direction to the respondent to drop all steps to collect the illegal taxes namely (i) Levy of 0.1% on the property value for mutation of name in the corporation records (ii) Levy on garbage (iii) directing the existing consumers to pay revised water deposit amount and (iv) arbitrary imposition of hefty taxes on additional constructions imposed by it, by considering his representation dated 30.10.2017.

According to the petitioner, the taxes imposed by the respondent is prima facie illegal and has been implemented without following the due procedure of law. In this regard, the petitioner made several representations to the respondent, however, he seeks a direction to the respondent to consider his last representation dated 30.10.2017 in respect of his grievance. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Heard the learned counsel for the parties and perused the material documents available on record.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the respondent herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 30.10.2017 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within fifteen (15) days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs. Consequently, connected W.M.P.No.34220 of 2017 is closed.
