Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of habeas corpus calling for the records relating to the order of detention CRL MP.5/GOONDAS/2014 dated 02/07/2014 passed by the 2nd respondent and to quash the same and also to direct the detenue PONRAJ, son of CHINNASAMY GOUNDER, aged 39 years who is presently detained in the Central Prison, COIMBATORE DT to be produced before this Hon`ble court and set at liberty.

O R D E R

The petitioner has come forward with this petition challenging the impugned detention order passed by the 2nd respondent dated 02/07/2014.

2. It is stated by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that the impugned detention order dated 2.7.2014 had been revoked, vide G.O.Rt.No.4165, Home, Prohibition and Excise [XII] Department, dated 27.8.2014. Hence, the Habeas corpus Petition has become infructuous.

3.Under such circumstances, the Habeas corpus petition stands dismissed, as infructuous.
