Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 08.05.2023 to carry out necessary rectification by the concerned authority with regard to spelling correction of petitioner name in Patta and the measurement regarding the extent of the land in Plot No.1, Dhanammal Nagar Extension, Kolathur, Chennai-600 099, comprising in S.No.64/2 and S.No.61/2, as per the Patta No.5240, S.No.61/34 and 64/44 of situated in No.65 Kolathur Village, from 0 Hectare, 2 Ares and 24.5 sq.mt instead of 0 Hectares, 2 Ares, 87.17 sq.mt and as an addition to the above mistake, the petitioner's name was also inadvertently mentioned as K.P.Maraiyam (nf/gp//kuak;) instead of Mariyam K.P.(nf/gp//khpak;) within a stipulated time frame as fixed by this Court .

ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed seeking to issue a issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 08.05.2023 to carry out necessary rectification by the concerned authority with regard to spelling correction of petitioner name in Patta and the measurement regarding the extent of the land in Plot No.1, 2/6

Dhanammal Nagar Extension, Kolathur, Chennai-600 099, comprising in S.No.64/2 and S.No.61/2, as per the Patta No.5240, S.No.61/34 and 64/44 of situated in No.65 Kolathur Village, from 0 Hectare, 2 Ares and 24.5 sq.mt instead of 0 Hectares, 2 Ares, 87.17 sq.mt and as an addition to the above mistake, the petitioner's name was also inadvertently mentioned as K.P.Maraiyam (nf/gp//kuak;) instead of Mariyam K.P.(nf/gp//khpak;) within a stipulated time as may be fixed by this Court.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if a direction is issued to the respondents to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 08.05.2023 within the time as may be fixed by this Court.

3. Mr.T.Arun Kumar, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents.

4. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and since this writ petition is filed seeking a simple writ of 3/6

mandamus to consider the petitioner's representation, this Court without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, directs that the concerned respondent shall issue notice to the petitioner and to the adjacent land owners of the four boundaries of the subject property and also to the rival claimants/interested parties/objectors if any, as the case may be and conduct enquiry in the manner known to law and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
