Respondents PRAYER: This Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., to direct the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 17.02.2022 in accordance with law by holding an inquiry under 151 of Police Standing Orders for the torture, illegal detention of Petitioner's employee and the Criminal acts, foisting false cases against the petitioner's employee and the petitioner, meted out by the Inspector of Police of Thousand lights and his men to secure the ends of justice.

O R D E R

The Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 17.02.2022 in accordance with law by holding an inquiry under 151 of Police Standing Orders for the torture, illegal detention of Petitioner's employee and th Criminal acts, foisting false cases against the petitioner's employee and the petitioner, meted out by the Inspector of Police of Thousand lights and his men.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner had sent a representation to the first respondent making allegations against the second respondent viz., Mr.Mohandas, Inspector of Police, Thousand Lights Police Station that the said Mohandas had not conducted the investigation in a proper manner. He had failed in his duty to recover evidence as against the accused. Further, a representation has been sent on 17.02.2022 and however, no enquiry has been conducted by the first respondent till date. Thereby, the present petition has been filed.

3. Mr.V.Meganathan, learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) in reply would submit that the representation of the petitioner would be duly considered and the first respondent will take steps to dispose of the representation within a period of four weeks.

4. Recording the same, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of with a direction to the respondent police to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 17.02.2022 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion with regard to the merits of the representation. The respondent shall dispose the same on its own merits.
