Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 29.05.2018.

The grievance of the petitioners is that they purchased the property comprising Survey Nos.1056/1 & 1056/2 by virtue of sale deed dated 27.11.1985 and 24.12.1985. They made a representation to the Tahsildar, Mylapore to issue patta based on the sale deed. But in spite of representations and requests, the 2nd respondent has not come forward to act upon the representation. Hence, the present writ petition seeking Mandamus to direct the 2nd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 29.05.2018 and pass appropriate orders.
2. The representations of the petitioner dated 29.05.2018
indicates that the petitioners have purchased the property from one Mrs.Noor Bee, W/o. Abdul Subhan. Property was assessed for tax by the Corporation of Chennai. Earlier their vendor has filed a suit for declaration and has obtained an ex-parte decree in her favour and thereafter, the petitioners have purchased the property. Hence, they have sought for issuance of patta. The representation has been sent by RPAD on 19.06.2018, till date according to the petitioner no action has been taken on the representation.
3. The learned Additional Government Pleader representing for the respondents 1 and 2 submits that in due course notice will be sent for enquiry, action will be taken on the petitioner's representation.
4. Recording the same, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the 2nd respondent to complete the enquiry and pass order in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
