O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the 1st respondent to instruct the 2nd respondent to reinstate the petitioner in service as Village Assistant, Thiruthu Village Ambasamudram and to pay the arrears of salary from March 2012 as on date.

2. It is represented by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the relief sought for in the writ petition has become infructuous as the petitioner has already crossed the age of superannuation and the Madurai Bench of this Court has already modified the punishment of dismissal from service to that of compulsory retirement.

3. In view of the same, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
