O R D E R

This Contempt Petition has been filed alleging willful disobedience of the order and direction issued by this Court in W.P.No.20194 of 2014 dated 31.03.2015.

2. In the said Writ Petition, the petitioner has challenged the order passed by the Revenue Divisional Officer, Tambaram Division, Kanchipuram District dated 23.04.2013. Since the petitioner by then had filed an

appeal before the District Revenue Officer, Kancheepuram, this Court directed the Appellate Authority to dispose of the appeal after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader submitted that the District Revenue Officer, Kancheepuram (Appellate Authority), has passed an order dated 17.12.2015, remanding the matter for fresh consideration to the Revenue Divisional Officer, Tambaram.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is fighting for grant of patta since the year 2009 and he is put to great prejudice. The Authorities should take into consideration the report submitted by the Tahsildar, Shozhanganallur Taluk, Kanchipuram District, dated 23.02.2013, which has been submitted pursuant to an enquiry conducted by the Tahsildar and this report is very much available in the Office of the Revenue Divisional Officer, Tambaram Division, Kanchipuram.

In the light of the above, the contempt petition is closed with a direction to the Revenue Divisional Officer, Tambaram Division, Kanchipuram to reconsider the matter by taking into consideration all materials, documents including the report submitted by the Tahsildar, Shozhanganallur Taluk, Kanchipuram District in his proceedings Na.Ka.AA2/1878/2011 dated 17.12.2011 and

shall pass an appropriate order within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.

6. The Revenue Divisional Officer, Tambaram, Kancheepuram District, who was impleaded as second respondent in the Writ Petition, is not a party in the Contempt Petition. Hence, Registry is directed to issue a copy of this order to Revenue Divisional Officer, Tambaram Division, Kanchipuram District.
