Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of certiorarified mandamus calling for the records relevant to the order in Na.Ka.A1/506/2021 dated 20.01.2023 passed by the first respondent and quash the same as illegal, improper, unreasonable, arbitrary and against the natural justice and thereby direct the respondents 1 to 4 to take suitable action for illegal handle and misappropriation of the panchayat funds without maintaining any records or proper accounts by the respondents 6 and 7 with the knowledge of the fifth respondent. ORDER

(Order of the court was made by the Hon'ble Acting Chief Justice) K.Govindharaj, son of Krishnan, a resident of No.221/1, Mariamman Koil Street, Pennadam-Poovanur, Tittagudi Taluk, Cuddalore District, has filed this writ petition challenging the order of the first respondent dated 20.1.2023 and to direct respondents 1 to 4 to take suitable action for the illegal handling and misappropriation of the panchayat funds without maintaining records and proper accounts by respondents 6 and 7 with the knowledge of the fifth respondent.

2. As against the order of the first respondent which is impugned herein, a revision will lie before the competent authority under Section 219 of the Tamil Nadu Panchayats Act, 1994 and the writ petition is not maintainable.

3. The writ petition is dismissed. However, liberty is granted to the petitioner to work out his remedy in the manner known to

law. There will be no order as to costs. Consequently, W.M.P.No.8849 of 2023 is closed.
