Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to give effect to the application registered under Receipt No.313-02/ 15191, CHS3131A1S354 dated 09.02.2015 and to direct the respondent to effect new Electricity Service Connection to newly constructed house situated at Plot No.217, Sai Raag Nagar, Kaspapuram Village, Patta No.929, comprised in Survey No.22/6A, Sub-Division New Survey No.22/17, Tambaram Taluk, Kancheepuram District as requested in the representation dated 17.04.2015 made by the petitioner.

By consent the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. 2.The petitioner claims that he has purchased housesite by means of registered sale deed dated 14.01.2015 registered as Document No.212 of 2015 in the office of the Sub-Registrar, Tambaram and after getting proper approval from the concerned Authority, put up superstructure vide Building Plan Permit No.961/2012 dated 09.07.2012 and after construction, applied for https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

electricity service connection for domestic purpose during the month of February, 2015 by paying Rs.1,550/-. The grievance expressed by the petitioner is that inspite of payment, he has no response and in this regard, he has also submitted a representation dated 17.04.2015 and since, no response is forthcoming, he came forward to file this writ petition. 3.Heard Mr.A.J.Raghavakumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.P.Gunaraj, learned Standing Counsel who accepts notice for the respondent.

4.Though the petitioner has sought for a larger relief, this Court taking into consideration the facts and circumstances, directs the respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's application as well as representation dated 17.04.2015 seeking electricity service connection for domestic purpose, in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible and not later than four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision to the petitioner.
