This Criminal Original Petition has been filed direct the respondents to provide police protection on 20.03.2020 while surveying the property owned by the petitioner situated in Plot 5 & 6 measuring an extent of 3600 sq.ft and bearing Patta No.674 comprised in Re-Survey No.51/4, Golden Avenue Extention, Reddiarpalayam Revenue Village, Puducherry. 2.The petitioner filed an application to survey her land comprised in Re-Survey No.51/4. The surveyor issued a notice on 18.02.2020 to the petitioner to survey her land on 20.03.2020. Now the petitioner faces apprehension from the entire people in the village. Therefore, he seeking for police protection on 20.03.2020.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the surveyor was appointed and also the surveyor issued a notice to the petitioner to survey the land belonging to the petitioner.

4.Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.

5.Considering the above facts and circumstance of this case, this Court issues a direction to the surveyor that if he feels any difficulty or obstruction while surveying the property on 20.03.2020 owned by the petitioner in Re-Survey No.51/4, the surveyor can seek police protection before the concerned authorities. On such request the concerned authorities are directed to give adequate police protection on 20.03.2020 to survey the land belonging to the petitioner. With the above direction the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
