ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for direction directing the respondents to disburse the petitioner the leave encashment benefits which he is entitled for the period 11/2018 and 11/2019 with interest at the rate of 8% per annum from the said date of entitlement till the date of actual disbursement within a time limit to be stipulated by this Hon'ble Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioner had worked as Special Grade Conductor in the respondents Corporation. He had retired from service on 31.07.2022. However, he was not provided with any leave encashment benefits of Rs.25,709/- for the period of 11/2018 and Rs.28,063/- for the period 11/2019. In fact, the petitioner was furnished with information under the

Right to Information Act and the benefit was not disbursed to the petitioner so far.

4. Considering the above facts and circumstances of the case, the respondents are directed to disburse the leave encashment to the petitioner for the period 11/2018 and 11/2019 with interest at the rate of 6% from the date of entitlement till the date of actual disbursement, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
