PRAYER: This Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., to direct the respondent to expedite the investigation and file final report within a stipulated time in Crime No.25 of 2020 on the file of the Inspector of Police, District Crime Branch, Kanchipuram District.

The Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondent to expedite the investigation and file final report within a stipulated time in Crime No.25 of 2020 on the file of the Inspector of Police, District Crime Branch, Kanchipuram District.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, Mr.V.Meganathan, learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) would submit that investigation in Crime No.25 of 2020 for the offences under Section 465, 468, 471, 477A, 408, 420, 34 of IPC is going on and the respondent will be able to complete the enquiry and file the final report within a period of six months. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. Recording the same, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of with the direction to the Respondent police to complete the enquiry and file the final report within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
