ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the FIR in
Crime No.114 of 2022 on the file of the first respondent Police for the offences under Section 6(b) and 24(1) of the Cigarettes and other Tobacco Products (Prohibition and Advertisement and Regulation of Trade and Commerce, Production and Supply and Distribution) Act, 2003 read with Section 328 of IPC.
2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the first respondent submitted that already investigation has been completed and final report was filed as early as on 2021 itself. Therefore, the prayer sought for in this petition has become infructuous.
3. In view of the submission, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed as infructuous. The petitioner is at liberty to challenge the final report before the competent Court, if he is so advised. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
