Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent herein to consider the representation dated 27.06.2014 of the petitioner and to change the name of the petitioner in revenue records of the property belonging to the petitioner at No.40, Nadai Veetu Maniyakarar Street, Vadugapalayam, Pollachi, Coimbatore District within the time fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. 2.The petitioner claims that he is the owner of the property in No.40, Nadai Veetu Maniyakarar Street, Vadugapalayam, Pollachi, Coimbatore District and it originally belongs to his grandfather who executed a registered settlement deed in his favour and other legal heirs under registered document no.753/1963 dated 16.04.1963. The petitioner subsequently submitted a representation dated 27.06.2014 https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

to the respondent praying for change of name in the property tax assessment and since he has not been favoured with any response, came forward to file this writ petition.

3.Heard Mr.C.Veeraraghavan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.Subbiah, learned Special Government Pleader who accepts notice for the respondent.

4.This Court without going into the merits of the representation, directs the respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 27.06.2014 after putting concerned persons on notice, as expeditiously as possible and not later than six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision to the petitioner as well as to the persons concerned. 5.The writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
