O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider and pass orders on the application submitted by the petitioners on 20.11.2017 seeking Computer Patta for the Plot Nos.8 and 9 in Old Survey No.69 and New Town Survey No.151,Sri Amman Nagar Extension, Oragadam Village, Ambattur Taluk, Chennai-53 (Village Natham Land) after entering their name in the Village Revenue Adangal Register forthwith.

2.

Learned Counsel for the petitioners taking support from an earlier order obtained by the petitioners from this Court in W.P.No.7028 of 2009 dated 24.6.2009 submitted that the petitioners are the joint owners of Plot Nos.8 and 9 in Old Survey No.69 and New Town Survey No.151, Sri Amman Nagar

Extension, Oragadam Village, Ambattur Taluk, Chennai-53 as there is a finding in their favour. On the basis of the same, this Court accepted the request of the petitioners to provide Electricity Service Connection by directing the Assistant Engineer (O&M) CEDC/West, Oragadam, Chennai, the 2nd respondent therein to receive the application of the petitioner for Electricity Service Connection and to extend the service connection within a period of 15 days from the date of receipt of a copy of that order. Subsequently, they have also got the electricity service connection. But, now the grievance of the petitioners is that the computer patta, till date, has not been issued to them, though they have applied for the same along with a D.D. For Rs.50/- and a copy of the Village Natham Patta and other documents. Hence the present Writ Petition. 3.

Ms.Ramya Revathi, learned Government Advocate who takes notice for the respondent sought for 4 weeks time to consider the case of the petitioners.

4.

A perusal of the records would show that in respect of the claim of the petitioners, the Town Surveyor, Ambattur, Chennai has also made an endorsement in the petitioners application No.43/92 dated 17.7.1992. Therefore, the Tahsildar, Ambattur, Chennai is hereby directed to consider the application of the petitioners dated 20.11.2017 seeking Computer Patta for the Plot Nos.8 and 9 in Old Survey No.69 and New Town Survey No.151,Sri Amman Nagar Extension, Oragadam Village, Ambattur Taluk, Chennai-53 (Village Natham Land) by taking into account the relevant entry made in the Town Survey Land Register, the order made in W.P.No.7028 of 2009 dated 24.6.2009 and the Electricity Service Connection provided to the petitioners and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

5.
