Criminal Original Petition Nos.15145 to 15147 and 15149 of 2015 filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. to direct the respondents to register the complaint filed by the petitioner dated 16.06.2015 and investigate the matter against the accused.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondents and perused the material placed on record.

3.It is seen that the petitioner was running a Chit Fund and he defaulted to settle various subscribers. In this regard, 5 people have lodged complaints against the petitioner and when the petitioner was called for enquiry by the respondent police, he appeared and undertook to settle with them.

4.In my considered opinion, no blanket direction as prayed for by the petitioner could be given. If the petitioner is wanted either for enquiry or for interrogation, he can very well be summoned by the respondents police and while doing so, the petitioner shall not be harassed. At the same time, the petitioner should submit himself to the respondent for interrogation and enquiry. It is made clear that this order will not shield, if the petitioner is involved in cognizable offence. 5.With the above observation, the Criminal Original Petitions are closed.
