The representation of the petitioner to remove his name from the History Sheet was directed to be considered within a period of four weeks from the date of the order. Though this order was passed on 02.12.2022, the respondent police has failed to dispose of the said representation. Hence, this present Contempt Petition.

Today, when the matter came up for consideration, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) states that the representation was rejected in view of pending of a case against the petitioner in Crime No.350 of 2018 on the file of D6, Podaturpet Police Station for Girl Missing @ 302 IPC @ 147, 143, 324, 294(b), 506(ii), 302, 201 IPC & 6 of POCSO Act. He also states that the petitioner has also been informed that his name will be retained in the History Sheet register till the judgment in the said case.

3. As the said information has already been intimated to the petitioner herein, nothing survives in this Contempt Petition.
