O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of a writ of mandamus directing the 4th respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 06.04.2023 and to grant water connection to the house of the petitioner. 2.Heard Mr.R.Chakkaravarthy, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mrs.S.Mythreye Chandru, learned Special Government Pleader for R1 to R3 and Mr.K.Suresh, learned counsel for R4.

3.It is seen from records that a patta has been issued in favour of Puthu Theru Sri Subramaniasamy Temple with respect to the subject property. This patta continues to be in force. Therefore, even though the petitioner and others are in possession and enjoyment of the houses, the question will remain in whose name the water connection must be given, if at all the petitioner is entitled for the same. 4.Considering the limited relief sought for in this writ petition and without going into the merits of the case, it will suffice if a direction is issued to the 4th respondent to consider

the representation made by the petitioner dated 06.04.2023, after issuing notice to the Puthu Theru Sri Subramaniasamy Temple and affording them an opportunity and a decision shall be taken by the 4th respondent within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5.This writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
