ORDER

The report has been received from the Assistant Director and Document Expert of the Forensic Sciences Department, Mylapore, Chennai. The expert has opined that there is no discrepancy in the signature/hand writting found in the Memorandum of Compromise and the sample signature that was given by the victim girl. Hence, the allegation made by the victim girl as if her signature was forged in the Memorandum of Compromise is not substantiated by the report that has now been received from the expert. In view of the same, this issue can be closed.

2.The learned Government Advocate submitted that the statement of the victim girl was recorded under Section 164 of Cr.P.C., and the investigation is pending. He further submitted that a formal arrest was made on 15.07.2024. Hence, police can continue with the investigation and proceed further in accordance with law.
