This civil revision petition has been filed for a direction to IV Additional Family Court, Chennai, to dispose of I.D.O.P.No.367 of 2016 within a time frame.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner.

3. The petitioner and the respondent got married on 24.01.2007. In

the year 2016, the petitioner filed a petition for a decree of divorce on the ground of cruelty and non consummation of marriage. It is stated that the respondent got the petition for divorce transferred to Tirunelveli on the false ground that the she was residing at Tirunelveli. However, in the review filed by the petitioner, the petition was transferred to Chennai after finding that the respondent was not residing at Tirunelveli, but residing only in Chennai. Contending that the respondent is filing interim applications for maintenance, one after another, in order to protract the proceedings, the petitioner has come up with the above petition for a direction to the IV Additional Family Court, to dispose of the petition for divorce within a time frame.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the IV Additional Family Court, Chennai, is directed to dispose of I.D.O.P.No.367 of 2016 within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after due notice to the respondent. The civil revision petition is disposed of accordingly.
