This Writ Petition has been filed seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider and pass orders on the application submitted by the petitioners on 28.11.2017 seeking Computer Patta for the Plot No.12 in Old Survey No.69 and New *Town Survey No.148, Sri Amman Nagar Extension, Oragadam Village, Ambattur Taluk, Chennai-53 (Village Natham Land) after entering their name in the Village Revenue Adangal Register forthwith.

Learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is the owner of Plot No.12 in Old Survey No.69 and New *Town Survey No.148, Sri Amman Nagar Extension, Oragadam Village, Ambattur Taluk, Chennai-53. Thereafter, the petitioner submitted a representation for grant of patta on 17.7.1992 which was numbered as 45/92 and based on the report of the New Town
Surveyor, a Grama Natham Patta was issued to the petitioner by the Special Tahsildar. The petitioner constructed a house in the said plot in the year 2003 and got Electricity Service Connection and the Ambattur Municipality has also assessed the property tax after giving Door No.12 and he is regularly paying the property tax from the assessment year 2002-2003. The learned Counsel for the petitioner further submitted that the petitioner has applied for computer patta on 17.11.2017. But, now the grievance of the petitioner is that the computer patta, till date, has not been issued to him, though he has applied for the same along with a D.D. For Rs.50/- and a copy of the Village Natham Patta and other documents, namely, Property Tax Receipts and Electricity Bills etc. Hence the present Writ Petition. 3.
Ms.Ramya Revathi, learned Government Advocate who takes notice for the respondent sought for 4 weeks time to consider the case of the petitioners.

Considering the facts and circumstances, the Tahsildar, Ambattur, Chennai is hereby directed to consider the application of the petitioner dated 28.11.2017 seeking Computer Patta for the Plot No.12 in Old Survey No.69 and New *Town Survey No.148, Sri Amman Nagar Extension, Oragadam Village, Ambattur Taluk, Chennai-53 by taking into account the relevant entry made in the Town Survey Land Register, Property Tax Receipts and the Electricity Service Connection provided to the petitioner and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
