ORDER
On 12.07.2023, this Court had dismissed the writ petition with a direction to the petitioner herein to pay full backwages and other benefits to the legal heirs of the deceased second respondent from the date of termination i.e. 28.11.2012 till the date of retirement within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and Post the matter for reporting compliance on 19.10.2023.
2. Since the above said order of this Court has not been complied with by the petitioner, despite several accommodation sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, vide order dated 18.03.2025 issued Bailable Warrant for production of the petitioner before this Court.
3. On 27.03.2025, when the matter was taken up for hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the erstwhile President, the said K.C.Devaraj is no longer the President and currently, a Special Officer has been appointed to the Kaazhvani Panchayat Union. Therefore, this Court issued a
direction to the BDO to appear before this Court.
4. In pursuance of the above order, when the matter is taken up for hearing today, Mrs.Amudha, Block Development Officer, appeared before this Court and submitted that as per the directions issued by this Court, entire benefits has been deposited prior to the order passed by this Court. The total benefits is Rs.86,0000/- Out of which, a sum of Rs.26,000/- has been deposited to the bank account of the first respondent on 06.09.2018 as per direction issued by this Court. The remaining amount of Rs.60,000/- has been deposited before the Labour Court Periodically. To that effect, the BDO has filed status report before this Court.
