ORDER

This application has been filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act seeking for extension of time for the Arbitrator to pronounce the Arbitral Award.

2.Learned counsel for the respondent submits that there is no necessity for the applicant to file this application since the period for completion of the arbitration as per the statute has not come to an end yet. 3.Learned counsel for the applicants would submit that only due to the fact that the period has come to an end, there became necessity for the applicants https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis 1/2

vga seeking for extension of time. The applicants have stated that earlier, settlement talks were in progress with the respondent and thereafter, it got failed. According to the applicants, only due to the said reason, an extension is sought for in this application.

4.This Court is satisfied with the reasons contained in the affidavit filed in support of this application since sufficient cause has been shown by the applicants for seeking extension of time.

5.Accordingly, this application is allowed as prayed for by extending the time limit of the arbitration proceedings by another period of six months from today.
