O R D E R

This Contempt Petition is filed by complaining that an interim order of status quo granted by this Court on 07.02.2019 in W.M.P.No.3948 of 2019 in W.P.No.3600 of 2019 has been violated by mutation of the Revenue records.

2. However, after notice, when this contempt petition is taken up for further hearing, the Tahsildar, Rasipuram, has informed through his communication dated 02.04.2019 to the Government Pleader, that no order or any mutation in the Revenue records was made after 07.02.2019 and as on date, the status quo order has been maintained. The learned Government Advocate for the respondents has produced a copy of the said communication.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioners, however, contended that the mutation has taken place after passing the order on 07.02.2019.

4. But, perusal of the counter affidavit served on the petitioners would show that the said mutation had taken place only on 31.01.2019 in respect of Patta No.219 and therefore, it is evident that no mutation had taken place after 07.02.2019.

5. In any event, when this Court has passed the order of status quo to be maintained from 07.02.2019 onwards, the respondents shall comply with the said order without giving any room for violation. Needless to say that the rival contentions of the parties on merits have to be considered and decided while disposing the main writ petition.

6. In view of the above stated facts and circumstances, this contempt petition is closed. SD/- ASSISTANT REGISTRAR(COMM.CASES) mk //Certified to be true copy// Dated at Madras this the day of 2019.
