This writ petition has been filed for direction to the respondents to continue the petitioners' services in the post of Instructor at the third respondent Institute.

Heard, the learned counsel appearing on either side. 3.

The petitioners were appointed as Instructor on contract basis for Advance Module for Production and Manufacturing at the Government Industrial Training Institute, Chengalpet on 25.10.2010 for a period of one year. Subsequently, the contract period was extended for another year. Thereafter, they were disengaged following the recruitment to the said posts.

Therefore, the petitioners have no right to claim any employment since they were appointed on contract basis, that too for stipulated time. As such, the prayer sought for in this writ petition cannot be considered and the writ petition is devoid of merits. 2/4

Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
