ORDER
This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to rectify the alleged mistakes in patta Nos.5250 and 2526 for the respective properties morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition based on the petitioner's representation dated 22.09.2025 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
2. The petitioner claims that there are errors in patta Nos.5250 and 2526. The petitioner seeks to correct the same and he had given a representation on 22.09.2025 for the said purpose. Since the said representation has not been considered till date, this writ petition has been filed.
3. Mr. S.Arumugam, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. Since the representation was given by the petitioner to the first respondent, who is not a competent authority, and the competent authority is the Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO), Chengalpattu, necessarily, this Court, by exercising its suo motu powers, impleads RDO, Chengalpattu as the party second respondent in this writ petition.
4. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents if the petitioner's representation dated 22.09.2025, seeking for rectification of the alleged mistakes in patta Nos.5250 and 2526 for the respective properties is considered on merits and in accordance with law after hearing the objections of any other third party whom the second respondent deems it fit to enquire within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
5. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation.
6. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the second respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's representation dated 22.09.2025, seeking for rectification of the alleged mistakes in patta Nos.5250 and 2526 for the respective properties, after giving due consideration to the supporting documents filed by the petitioner and after hearing the objections of any other third party whom the second respondent deems it fit to enquire within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
