Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to initiate viable steps to establish 24 Hours Child Health Care Units on the model of the Egmore Children Hospital, Chennai-600 008 in every Zone of the City of Chennai comprised outline in the map of the Municipal Corporation of Chennai with all infrastructure-manpower and medicines applicable to children including an administrative core to supervise the functioning of these Units for effective and prompt service to the people seeking relief for children everywhere in Chennai.

(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) The writ petition is devoid of any material particulars and thus, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks to withdraw the writ petition in order to enable the petitioner to obtain the ground reality prevalent, the deficiencies existing and the remedial measures, whereafter the petitioner would be at liberty to file a fresh petition after having approached the authorities for redressal by giving them a reasonable period of time to react. Endorsement has been made.
2. The writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn in the aforesaid terms. No costs.
