The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 341, 294(b), 397, 427, 336, 506(ii) of IPC in Crime No.220 of 2022 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution as per the defacto complainant is that on 25.12.2022 at about 2.00 p.m, the petitioner along with other accused have entered into a tea shop, owned by the defacto complainant and demanded money. It is further alleged that the petitioner along with other accused have ransacked the tea shop and stolen Rs.3,000/-. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) would submit that the petitioner along with other accused persons threatened the defacto complainant who is in the tea shop by asking mamool. He would further submit that the petitioner has got 16 previous cases pending against him. Hence, he vehemently opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 5.Heard the learned counsel on either sides and perused the entire materials available on record.

6.Taking into consideration the facts of the case and the submissions made by the learned counsel and also of the fact that the petitioner has got 16 previous cases pending against him, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
