The relief sought for in this writ petition is for a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 20.12.2018.

2. The petitioner herein is the mother of the student, namely, Gopika, who is studying in the fourth respondent's school in VI standard. Since the school authority failed and neglected to maintain the fire safety measures in the school, the fire service authority had issued notice on 04.07.2018 and subsequently cancelled the fire safety license on 26.07.2018. In that circumstances, a fire accident took place on 08.11.2018 and the students could not continue their studies in the school for 5 subsequent days. Hence, the petitioner has submitted a representation dated 20.12.2018 to the respondents 1 to 3 to take necessary steps to safeguard the safety measures of the school children by giving necessary protection to their life and education in the said school premises at an early date without any delay by proper inspection in order to maintain the school premises within the provisions of basic needs for running the school. But, so far, no action has been taken by the respondents 1 to 3. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing on both sides.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made on either side, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the representation, directs the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 20.12.2018 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after issuing notice to the petitioner, fourth respondent herein and the persons interested in this regard and also affording them an opportunity of personal hearing, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
