The petitioner who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 465, 468, 471, 420 of IPC in Crime Nos.249 of 2022, seeks anticipatory bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner is arrayed as A4 in this case. It is alleged that the petitioner along with other accused persons received huge amount from the defacto complainant and the said amount was not returned to the defacto complainant. Hence the complaint. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Further he submitted that the petitioner did not receive any amount form the defacto complainant. It is A3 who received the amount and given to A1 and A2. Further it is submitted that A1 and A2 has been arrested and released on bail. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

rap 4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) would submit that the petitioner received Rs.35,00,000/- and given the same to A1 and A2. Hence he vehemently opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 5.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police and perused the materials available on record.
