ORDER

This Contempt Petition has been filed to punish the respondents for the contempt of order of this Court made in W.P.No.2572 of 2020 dated 04.02.2020.

2.Pursuant to the orders passed by this Court on 17.09.2021, the learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents has furnished the details as to how the commutation of interest has been calculated and paid. The manner in which the calculation has taken place is questioned by the learned counsel for the petitioners. This court exercising its contempt jurisdiction cannot go into the merits of the case. If the petitioners are aggrieved by the calculation done by the respondent Corporation, it is left open to them to question the same in the manner known to law. Except giving this liberty, no further orders can be passed in this contempt petition.
