Respondent(s) PRAYER The contempt petition is filed under Sections 11 & 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act to punish the respondent for willful disobedience of the order 14.12.23 made in W.P.No.2138 of 2021 on the file of this Hon'ble Court. REV.APLW No. 149 of 2024 PRAYER The review application is filed under Order XLVII Rule 1 r/w Sec.114 of CPC to review the order dated 14.12.2023 made in W.P. No.2138 of 2021 on the file of the High Court of Judicature at Madras in its Special Original Jurisdiction and direct the 1st respondent to appoint the review applicant to the post of Assistant Engineer pursuant to the notification No.1 of 2019 dated 6.3.2019 REV.APLW No. 109 of 2025 PRAYER The review application is filed under Order XLVII Rule 1 r/w Sec.114 of CPC to review the order dated 14.12.2023 made in W.P.No.2138 of 2021 on the file of the Honble High Court of Judicature at Madras.

COMMON ORDER It is submitted that a Writ Appeal in W.A. No. 3635 of 2025 is pending, arising out of a writ petition in which a similar order has been passed. In the circumstances, the review applications themselves are unnecessary.

2. The parties who have preferred the review applications, despite being aware of the connected Writ Appeal before the Writ Appellate Court, have not taken any steps to file a writ appeal challenging the impugned order nor to tag the same along with the said Writ Appeal.

3. While the matter in issue is pending before the Writ Appellate Court, this Court cannot proceed to consider the review applications and pass a different order; therefore, these review applications are dismissed.

4. The petitioner, who has filed both the contempt petitions as well as the review petitions, is also a party to the Writ Appeal pending before the Writ

Appellate Court. Under such circumstances this contempt petition also does not deserve to remain pending here. Hence, the contempt petition is closed. No costs.
