Prayer:- Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records of the 1st Respondent in its order dated 31.01.2024 in reference Na.Ka.No.228373 B 5(1) / 2023 quash the same and consequently direct the 1st Respondent to rectify the date of birth of the petitioner in the Secondary school Leaving Certificate and Higher secondary Course Certificate from 23.06.1969 to 10.09.1970.

O R D E R

The order of rejection, rejecting the claim of the petitioner for change of date of birth in SSLC Book/Certificate and HSC/Certificate Book is under challenge in the present writ petition.

2. The application submitted by the petitioner, to change the date of birth has not been considered mainly on the ground that the petitioner has failed to submit the relevant document establishing his correct date of birth.

3. The learned counsel, Mr.Abishek Jenasenan, would now contend that the Zonal Health Officer, Birth and Death Registration, Greater Chennai Corporation, has issued a letter dated 23.04.2024, indicating the correct date of birth of the petitioner based on the birth register.

4. In view of the above submission, the impugned order of rejection, passed by the respondent in proceeding- Na.Ka.No.228373 B 5(1) / 2023, dated 31.01.2024 is quashed and the respondents are directed to 2/4

reconsider the application based on the new document now to be produced by the petitioner with reference to his claim for change of date of birth in all the school records.
