O R D E R
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the F.I.R., in Crime No.253 of 2018 on the file of the 1st respondent Police.
2.It is seen from records that the petitioner is a press reporter in Tamilan Tholaikatchi, serving in and around Ginee taluk. Whileso, on 01.07.2018 at 5 p.m., the 2nd respondent along with some rowdy elements entered into a hotel and quarrelled unnecessarily with the hotel employees. In that quarrel, the petitioner, who was also present in the hotel was unnecessarily abused by the 2nd respondent using filthy language. Hence, a complaint was lodged by the petitioner and a case in Crime https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
No.252 of 2018 has been registered for the offence under Section 294(b), 324, 379 and 3(1)(1) and 3(1)(s) of SC/ST Act against the 2nd respondent. This being so, the 2nd respondent also gave a complaint as against this petitioner on 04.07.2018 and the same was registered as Crime No.253 of 2018. Now, the petitioner has filed this petition to quash the F.I.R registered against him. 3.Heard both sides.
4.It is seen that the present case is registered as a counter blast to the case in Crime No.252 of 2018. Hence, this Court is not inclined to entertain this petition. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 5.However, since a counter case is also pending lodged by the petitioner before the same respondent, there shall be a direction to the 1st respondent to complete the enquiry in both the cases and file a final report within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of this order following Police Standing Orders 588 A.
