This writ petition is filed seeking for a mandamus directing the respondents to re-fix the pension payment taking into consideration 10 months average salary or emoluments received by petitioner at the time of superannuation with admissible Dearness allowances as on 30.04.2014 as per the CCS Pension Rules and Chennai Port Trust Regulation and to pay other attendant, monetary reliefs, arrears of pension and interest based on the revision of pension, w.e.f. 30.04.2014 to till realization of the amount. 2.

When this matter was taken up on 22.12.2023, it is reported that the petitioner is no more and requested time to take steps to implead the legal representatives of the deceased petitioner. However, on an earlier occasion, i.e., 02.02.2024, steps were not taken and the petitioner was also not represented. Today, this matter is listed under the caption "for dismissal". Even today there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner. It appears that the petitioner is not interested to prosecute this case any more and hence, this writ petition is dismissed.
