O R D E R

This Contempt Petition has been filed for willful disobedience of the orders of this Court dated 17.06.2022 in Crl.O.P.No.10076 of 2022, directing the respondent Police to conduct investigation and register an FIR, if any cognizable offence is made out, within a period of two weeks from 17.06.2022.

2.Today, E.Velu, Inspector of Police, T-18 Thazhambur Police Station, is present before this Court.

3.Learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent, on instructions, submitted that a final report has been filed today, i.e., on 14.07.2023 before the Judicial Magistrate Court, Thiruporur, and the same is yet to be numbered. 4.Though the respondent Police has filed the final report today, the delay in filing the final report after a lapse of one year despite orders of this Court, clearly exhibits the utter disregard shown by the respondent/contemnor to the orders of this Court.

5.Since final report has been filed, this Contempt Petition is closed, however, with an observation that, if such a conduct is repeated by the respondent/contemnor, severe action shall be taken. 14.07.2023 mkn Copy to :
