By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. Mr.K.Dhananjayan, learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

The petitioner, while working as B.T.Assistant at the Government Adi-Dravidar Welfare Higher Secondary School, Savalakaran, Mannargudi Taluk, Tiruvarur District, was transferred to Thanjavur District and posted at the Government Adi-Dravidar Welfare College Students Hostel, Kumbakonam as Warden, on the ground that he was found surplus with reference to student-teacher ratio. The petitioner has also joined duty and thereafter, on his request, he was transferred to Nagapattinam on 07.11.2014 and posted as B.T.Assistant at Government Adi-Dravidar Welfare Middle School, Thirukulambiam, Nagapattinam District. According to the petitioner, there are five vacancies in the post of B.T.Assistant/Warden in the following places in his native District at Tiruvarur District. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
i) Government Adi-Dravidar Welfare Higher Secondary school, Savalakaran, Mannardudi Block (B.T.Assistant). ii) Government Boy's Hostel, Valangaiman (Graduate Warden). iii) Government Boy's Hostel, Kodavasal (Graduate Warden) iv) Nannilam College Students (Women) Hostel (Graduate Warden).
v) Mannargudi College Students (Women) Hostel (Graduate Warden).
The petitioner, in this regard has also given representation dated 13.10.2016 in person to the respondent praying for transfer to any School/Hostel which is nearby to his native place, but so far no orders have been passed. Hence, he came forward with this writ petition.
3. Heard the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.
4. Though the petitioner prays for a larger relief, this Court in the light of the above facts and circumstances, without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner either in the writ petition or in the representation, directs the respondent to consider the request of the petitioner through counseling process and if he deserves to be eligible for consideration, shall pass orders in accordance with law as expeditious as possible and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
