third respondent to issue Death Certificate of the petitioner's paternal Great Grandmother Mrs.Angammal, W/o late Ramalingam, who passed away on 21.06.1985.

ORDER

The petitioner seeks a writ of Mandamus for registration the death of the petitioner's paternal grandmother Mrs.Angammal, who is said to have been passed away on 21.06.1985. When the death is not immediately reported and when it is sought to be belatedly reported, after the period of one year, a detailed procedure is prescribed under the Act as well as the Rules.

2.A perusal of the material records of the case, it can be seen that the petitioner has approached the appropriate authority and the application is pending for enquiry as on date. In view thereof, this writ petition stands disposed of on the following terms:- The second respondent shall consider the application of the petitioner and complete the enquiry and pass final orders in accordance with Law and 2/4

Rules made thereunder, in any event, not later than a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of the web copy of the order, without waiting for the certified copy of the order. No costs.
