O R D E R

The prayer sought for herein is for a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 29.06.2017.

2. The petitioner was working as driver at the respondent Transport Corporation. While so, he suffered from some illness as very often he suffered with the giddiness, because of which, and his routine health condition, he could not continue to drive the vehicle and therefore, he was referred to the Medical Board, where, after having diagnosed the petitioner by the Medical Team, they seems to have recommended that, the petitioner can be given some alternative work than the driver job.

3. Based on which, the petitioner had given a representation to the respondent on 29.06.2017 to consider his medical condition and to allot alternative job than the driver https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

job. However, since the said representation has not been considered, the petitioner has approached this Court by filing the present Writ Petition.

4. Reiterating the aforestated, Mr.R.Rajaram, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner seeks indulgence of this Court.

5. Heard Mr.G.Saravanakumar, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent Corporation, who on instruction would submit that, the said representation of the petitioner would be considered on merits and a decision would be taken at the earliest preferably within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.

6. Considering the said submission made by both sides and taking into account the limited scope of the prayer sought for in this writ petition, this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition with the following orders:

That there shall be a direction to the respondent Corporation to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 29.06.2017 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With this direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
