ORDER

Writ Petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a Mandamus to direct the respondent to pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 17.10.2016, seeking restoration of the original service register or creation of a duplicate service register thereto and that of the other service accruals and dues on merits within a time to be stipulated by this Hon'ble Court.

2.It is stated by the petitioner that after the petitioner was appointed as a junior assistant on 10.04.1985, he was given promotion as Assistant during the year 1990 and as Superintendent during the year 2008. During the year 2010, one Junior Assistant Mr.Amalraj, is said to have committed https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

very serious commission and ommission in regard to forms pertaining to cash receipt without any authority. This was brought to the knowledge of the Competent Authority for appropriate action by the petitioner, which resulted in loss or misplacement of the petitioner's original service Register. Therefore, the petitioner had addressed the Competent Authority seeking permission to lodge a police complaint in this regard. However, the petitioner made a representation on 27.02.2012, seeking permission to lodge a police complaint. Till date, no action has been forthcoming. Therefore, the petitioner has come forward with the present writ petition. 3.Mr.P.Sanjay Gandhi, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondent and seeks eight weeks time to consider the petitioner's representation dated 17.10.2016. 4.In view of the above, this Court directs the respondent, to consider the petitioner's representation dated 17.10.2016, on merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
