ORDER
[Made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] This habeas corpus petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to produce the body of the petitioner's daughter viz., Vijayalakshmi, aged about 21 years, before this Court and set her at liberty.

It is the case of the petitioner that his daughter Vijayalakshmi, aged about 21 years, went missing from 02.02.2022 and that the police are not taking effective steps to secure her.

Today K.Raja (Mobile No.94447 86071), Sub-Inspector of Police, P-2, Otteri Police Station, Chennai, is present. 4.
On instructions, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on a complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Otteri Police Station Crime No.142 of 2022 was registered on 04.02.2022 for 'woman missing' and during the course of investigation, it came to light that Vijayalakshmi was in love with one Vijay and has eloped with him. 5.
Today Vijayalakshmi was interviewed by us via Whatsapp video call, during which, she stated that her date of birth is 18.01.2000 and she got married to Vijay on 06.02.2022. She clearly stated that she is not in the illegal detention of anyone.

The petitioner, who is also present before this Court, spoke with Vijayalakshmi through Whatsapp video call. 7.
In view of the above, it cannot be stated that Vijayalakshmi is in the illegal custody of anyone for the issuance of a writ of habeas corpus.
