ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for direction, directing the third respondent to restore the water supply to the premises M/s.M.K.Cables & Conductors Private Limited having the factory at Plot No.16D(N) 1, SIPCOT Industrial Complex, Gummidipoondi - 601 201. 2.

The petitioner is doing the business of manufacturing of cables and conductors in the name and style of M/s.M.K.Cables & Conductors Private Limited at Plot No.16D(N) 1, SIPCOT Industrial Complex, Gummidipoondi - 601 201. The company availed water supply connection from the year 2011 and paying the water charges without any due. While being so, the third respondent issued a demand notice dated 03.07.2013 thereby demanding a sum of Rs.1,39,775/- towards water

consumption charges. The petitioner sent a representation dated 11.07.2013 and requested to check and ractify the faulty water meter. But without conducting any inspection, the third respondent disconnected the water supply connection on 20.08.2013, without assigning any reasons.

Considering the above facts and circumstances, the third respondent is directed to consider the request made by the petitioner and to restore the water supply connection to the petitioner's premises at Plot No.16D(N) 1, SIPCOT Industrial Complex, Gummidipoondi - 601 201, if not already restored, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. There shall be no orders as to costs.
