O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this Contempt petition to punish the respondent for willful disobedience of the order passed by this Hon'ble Court dated 23.02.2015 in W.P.No.6228 of 2014.

2. The operative portion of the said order reads as follows:

2.The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to take action against the third respondent on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 25.12.2013.

3.Counter affidavit has been filed by the second respondent/The Assistant Director of Rural Development, O/o.The District Collector, Tiruvannamalai District, from which it is seen that action has been taken on the petitioner's complaint and explanation is also been called for by the District Collector vide Memo dated 24.03.2014.

3. The respondent / contemnor has addressed a letter dated 21.01.2016 to the learned Special Government Pleader, setting out the action taken pursuant to the earlier proceedings. From the said proceedings, it is seen that action has been initiated, charges have been framed and

the procedure contemplated under Section 205 of the Tamil Nadu Panchayats Act 1994, is being followed.

4. Recording the stand taken by the respondent, the contempt petition stands closed.
