PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, calling for the records of the first respondent herein passed in B.C.D.F.G.I.S.S.S.V.No.28/2017 dated 29.08.2017 setting aside the order of detention passed therein and produce the petitioner's husband/detenue namely Suresh S/o Chinnapaiyan, aged 28 years has now detained in Central Prison, Puzhal at Chennai and set him at liberty.

O R D E R

1. The petitioner is the wife of the detenu, namely, Suresh, S/o. Chinnapaiyan, male, aged about 28 years. The detenu has been detained by the first respondent by his order in B.C.D.F.G.I.S.S.S.V.No.28/2017 dated 29.08.2017, holding him to be a "Bootlegger", as contemplated under 2(b) of Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

1.1.The said order is under challenge in this Habeas Corpus Petition.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the said order of detention passed by the first respondent against the husband of the petitioner has been revoked by the Government in G.O.Rt.No.4941, Home, Prohibition & Excise (XI) Department dated 11.10.2017; a copy of the order has also been produced.

3. The submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, is taken on record. Accordingly, the petition is closed, as the same has been rendered infructuous.
