PRAYER: PETITION filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to fix the fair rent for the premises in occupation of the petitioners comprised in Survey No.248, in an extent of 3.30.0 Hectares of Agricultural Land situated at S.Konthalam Village, Nettayampalayam, Paramathi Velur Taluk, Namakkal District as provided under Section 34A of the Tamil Nadu Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Act, 1959 by considering the petitioners' representation dated 03.02.2020.

O R D E R

The petitioner seeks a mandamus directing the respondents to fix the fair rent in respect of premises at Survey No.248, S.Konthalam Village, Nettayampalayam, Paramathi Velur Taluk, Namakkal District. Parallelly, the petitioner appears to have approached the 2nd respondent by way of a representation dated 03.02.2020, also seeking an identical prayer. In such circumstances, I am of the view that the present writ petition is premature.

2. Mr.M.Karthikeyan, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents confirms the position that the representation has been received and assures the Court that the same will be disposed within a period of six (6) weeks from today after hearing the petitioner. A direction to this effect is issued.

3. This writ petition is disposed in the above terms. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
