Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to release the payments along with interest in terms of the work order dated 20.02.2016 issued by the 3rd respondent.

O R D E R
The petitioner has come up with this writ petition to direct the respondents to release the Bill amount to the tune of Rs.62,91,830/-along with interest in terms of the work order dated 20.02.2016 issued by the 3rd respondent.
2. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the work allotted to the petitioner had already been completed and the completion certificate had also been produced before the respondents on 22.01.2017, for consideration. However, the respondents have not released the Bill amount of Rs.62,91,830/-, till date. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court by this writ petition.
3. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that the petitioner's claim would be considered by the respondents on the basis of the completion certificate produced by the petitioner on 22.01.2017.
4. Recording the above submission of the learned Special Government Pleader and considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner on the basis of the completion certificate submitted by the petitioner on 22.01.2017, on merits and in accordance with law and if found fit, the payment be released accordingly. Such an exercise be completed within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that any delay caused in effecting payment would attract interest payable according to the terms and conditions of the contract.
5. Accoringly, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
